Privacy Policy
EspañolEffective August 22, 2026
Gried operates Gried, an operations platform for short-term-rental hosts, used through a web dashboard and through mobile apps for owners and field staff. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who this policy covers
Gried is a business tool. Its accounts belong to hospitality operators and the owners and staff they invite. This policy covers the personal data of those account holders. Operators also process data about their own guests and properties inside Gried; for that data the operator is the controller and Gried acts as a processor on their behalf under our customer agreement.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and name, collected and managed by our authentication provider (Clerk). We use email verification codes and, where you choose it, Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Content you upload — photos (and any notes) attached as evidence of assigned tasks, stored as part of the operation.
- Device and diagnostic data — crash reports and performance diagnostics (Sentry), which can include device model, OS version, app version and a technical stack trace.
- Push notification tokens — the device token from Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM), so we can deliver operational alerts such as a task assigned to you.
- Usage data — logs of actions taken in the product (who did what and when) that power the audit timeline.
3. How we use your information
- Provide and operate Gried and its features.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Send operational notifications to the devices you registered.
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
- Maintain the audit trail and meet legal and security obligations.
We use your information to run the service you signed up for. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How we share information
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run Gried: Clerk (authentication), Sentry (diagnostics), Apple and Google (push delivery), Resend (email), cloud hosting providers, and a payment processor where billing and statements are used. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of Gried, our customers and the public.
5. Biometric unlock
The apps can lock behind Face ID, Touch ID or the device biometric. That check happens entirely on your device through the operating system. Gried never receives, sees or stores your biometric data.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for the period required to meet legal, accounting and security obligations. Account deletion can be requested as described below.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We restrict access to personal data to those who need it, and rely on established providers for authentication, hosting and diagnostics. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry practices.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
9. Children
Gried is a workplace tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
10. International transfers
Gried and its providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to keep it protected in line with applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and legal requirements evolve. When we make material changes we update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the product.
